Before the year come to an end, I’ve finally decided to do up a post on Las Vegas!

When I was in North America for the first time, never had I thought of visiting Las Vegas. Coming from the other side of the world, what I know of Vegas was only from movies and the media. It always felt like a dodgy place filled with gamblers and drunkards, and rich people going to parties in a limo just ‘cos they could. And when my friends planned a West Coast road trip that starts from Vegas, I was like oh alright, let’s go then! I didn’t know too much, but I thought since there was a group of us we should be fine. And while researching, some thoughts were running in my head (in no particular order):

  • Wow the hotels look great, huge and yet so affordable?!
  • So there’s only ONE main road to walk in Las Vegas
  • And they named it The Strip
  • You kinda don’t have to take a public transport because you just gotta walk along The Strip
  • There’s actually family friendly places like the World of Coca Cola
  • Or they even have a cool museum called The Mob Museum

Being a starting point to our road trip, we didn’t think we would do much in Las Vegas, after all we ain’t some wild kids (as much as we’d like to be ha!). But as the saying goes, what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. So if you’re there in Vegas for the first time: you gotta let loose and well, try some new experiences! Here’s a list of 7 things you should try to experience while you’re in Las Vegas:

1. WALK DOWN THE STRIP AND RANDOMLY GO CRAZY WITH PEOPLE

2. PRETEND TO BE IN PARIS

3. CATCH A STAND UP COMEDY

4. OR ATTEND A STRIP CLUB

5. TRY YOUR LUCK AT GAMBLING (EVEN IF IT’S THE JACKPOT – which I accidentally won $60)

6. WITNESS THE FAMOUS FOUNTAIN SHOW AT BELLAGIO HOTEL

7. AND FINALLY DINE AT GORDAN RAMSAY’S BURGR RESTAURANT – which was amazingly good

I hope you’d have a good time, because I certainly did. 😉

keep travelling,
J
