NOTALL WHO WANDERARE LOST
While I can’t say this is the best sunset in Australia, but it is definitely one of the most amazing sunsets in the outback. While I was researching for my Australia road trip, I’ve read that I need to go Byron Bay to see the spectacular sunset on more than one occasion, and so I did. The sky was in such saturated orange that the sensor of my lens wasn’t good enough to capture it. Nevertheless, I’ll let the photos do the talking and I hope you enjoy. x

Byron Bay per se is a tourist attraction with accommodation, nightlife and many eateries around. I’d suggest you stay a night in that area (we stayed at Bangalow, a nearby small town instead) so that you’d have ample time to catch the sunset until night falls. Roads are dark after sunset so you might not want to go far after unless you’re comfortable with driving in the dark without street lights. Byron Bay is only about an hour drive from/to Gold Coast so you can also head back there to the city if you wish.

Are there any sunsets around Australia or the world that leave you so mesmerised? 🙂

keep travelling,
J
